How Much Does HubSpot Cost in Mexico? Prices and When the Free Version Is Enough
By JCUpdated 6 min read
HubSpot offers a free version for up to 2 users. Paid plans start at 20 USD per user per month (7 USD with the new‑customer promotion that existed on October 17). Professional starts at 90 USD per user per month for Sales Hub and at 800 USD per month for Marketing Hub, plus a one‑time onboarding fee. The page shown from Mexico lists prices in dollars.
What changes the cost most isn’t the plan itself, but three things: how many users you need, how many marketing contacts you have, and whether you pay an onboarding fee.
How Much Does Each HubSpot Plan Cost?
| Plan | Shown price (USD) | What to know | Onboarding required |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 0 | Up to 2 users, no credit card needed | No |
| Starter (all hubs) | From 20 per user per month; 7 with the new‑customer promotion | Marketing Starter includes 1,000 marketing contacts | No |
| Sales Hub Professional | From 90 to 100 per user per month, depending on annual or monthly billing | For sales teams with processes and automations | 1,500 USD, one‑time |
| Sales Hub Enterprise | From 150 per user per month | For large teams with several divisions | 3,500 USD, one‑time |
| Marketing Hub Professional | From 800 to 890 per month, depending on annual or monthly billing | Includes 3 users and 2,000 marketing contacts; extra user from 45 per month | 3,000 USD, one‑time |
| Marketing Hub Enterprise | From 3,600 per month | Includes 5 users and 10,000 marketing contacts; extra user from 75 per month | 7,000 USD, one‑time |
Your bank will convert dollars to pesos at the daily exchange rate, so the amount on your statement will vary each month.
What Does HubSpot’s Free Version Include?
The free version gives you more than most people use. It includes the CRM (contacts, companies, and deals) and basic marketing, sales, and service tools for up to 2 users. The most noticeable limits are shown in HubSpot’s table from October 17:
| Feature | Free | Starter |
|---|---|---|
| Users | Up to 2 | Pay per user |
| Marketing emails | 2,000 per month, HubSpot branding | 5 × your contact level, no HubSpot branding |
| Email automation | 1 automated action | Up to 10 actions |
| Calendar links | 1 personal link, HubSpot branding | Up to 1,000 personal and team links |
| Sales pipelines | Not listed for the free version | Up to 15 per account |
| Email templates | 3 | Up to 10,000 |
| Report dashboards | 10 | 30 |
When Is the Free Version Enough?
It’s enough if three conditions are met:
- Only 1 or 2 people are doing the follow‑up.
- You care more about organizing contacts and deals than about automation.
- You don’t mind your emails and calendar links showing the HubSpot brand.
For an independent consultant or a business just moving out of Excel, starting free is the right choice. Set up stages and fields correctly from day one; that configuration stays when you upgrade.
When Is It Worth Paying for Starter?
When you have more than 2 people, when you want to remove HubSpot branding from emails and calendar links, or when you need simple automations: a follow‑up email after a form submission or a notification to a salesperson when a lead arrives.
If you are offered a promotional price, ask how long it lasts and what you will pay at renewal. The promotion that existed on October 17 was for new customers and was time‑limited.
When Is Professional Worth It?
When the sales process already exists and you need it to run by itself: lead assignment rules, full workflows, custom reports, and stage‑by‑stage tracking for the whole team. Professional does not fix an undefined process; it automates it, and if the process is wrong, it automates the mistake.
Before moving to Professional, do a full first‑year calculation:
- Users who will actually log into the CRM every day.
- Marketing contacts: in Marketing Hub you pay for the contacts you email, not for every contact you store.
- The onboarding fee (1,500 – 7,000 USD depending on hub and plan).
- Your team’s time to set it up and learn to use it.
Can You Avoid the Onboarding Fee?
Sometimes. HubSpot lists, among the benefits of its Solutions Partner program, the possibility of waiving the onboarding fee for the partner’s clients. In that case the partner does the onboarding and charges their own service fee. Before paying, ask who you are buying the license from and who will do the onboarding: it can be cheaper and is usually better configured for your process.
Example: How Much Does a Team of 4 Salespeople Pay in the First Year?
Using the October 17 prices, without promotions and paying for the full year:
| Scenario | Yearly licenses | Onboarding | Total first‑year cost (USD) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free (only works for up to 2 users) | 0 | 0 | 0 |
| Sales Hub Starter, 4 users | 4 × 20 × 12 = 960 | 0 | 960 |
| Sales Hub Professional, 4 users | 4 × 90 × 12 = 4,320 | 1,500 | 5,820 |
The jump from Starter to Professional is almost six times the first‑year cost. It only makes sense if the automations and reports save enough salesperson time or recover sales that are currently lost. A simple test: if one extra sale per year covers the difference, Professional is justified; if you need ten extra sales, it is not.
The calculation does not include Marketing Hub, taxes, exchange rates, or the cost of configuring the CRM with a partner or your own team.
Costs Not Shown in the Table
- Marketing contacts. If you import 8,000 contacts and email all of them, your plan moves up. Mark contacts you will not email as “non‑marketing.”
- Users who don’t use the CRM. Every paid user who logs in only once a month is wasted money. For occasional viewers, consider read‑only access.
- Integrations. WhatsApp, your ERP, or billing system may need separate apps or development.
- Configuration. A poorly configured CRM costs the same as a well‑configured one but doesn’t work. If you need a guide to choose a tool, see how to choose a real‑estate CRM; the criteria apply to any industry.
What’s the Difference Between a User and a Contact in HubSpot?
They are billed separately and are often confused. A user is a member of your team who logs into the CRM; paid plans charge per user. A marketing contact is a person in your database you send emails or ads to from HubSpot; Marketing Hub charges by marketing‑contact tiers. You can store many more contacts in the CRM than you mark as marketing contacts, and you only pay for the latter.
What I Would Do
- Start with the free version and set up stages, fields, and owners correctly.
- Use it for a full month and note what you truly lack.
- Upgrade only the hub that solves that gap. Very few businesses need all hubs at Professional level from day one.
